Egypt visa
There are three legal routes, and a fourth — the Sinai stamp — that means some travellers need nothing at all. All four, with fees and timing, are below.
| Route | Fee | Filing | Decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| e-Visa (single) | USD 30 was USD 25 | we file, at least 7 days before departure | Ministry of Interior, 5–7 business days |
| e-Visa (multiple) | USD 65 | we file | valid 180 days, each stay up to 30 days |
| QR code — visa on arrival | USD 36 (30 + 6 service) | you buy the code, show it at the border | valid 7 days, single use, Cairo only (CAI) |
| Sticker at the airport, cash | USD 30 in banknotes only | you do it yourself on arrival | border control |
| Sinai stamp | free | — | Sinai region only, under 15 days |
A visa is tied to the passport number. Renewing your passport voids the visa.
