Do you need a visa? Passport first, country second
· visamio
Visa rules belong to a passport–country pair. How to read the destination list and when not to buy a document.
There is no single answer
Whether you need a visa is not a property of the country. It is a property of your passport plus that country, plus how long you stay and why. A short holiday and a work contract are different documents.
The catalogue on the homepage is calculated for the passport you pick. It describes a short tourist stay. Anything longer has to be checked before you pay.
Four results that mean something
No visa — you enter on your passport. We do not sell an application.
Electronic authorisation — ESTA, eTA, ETA, eVisitor, NZeTA. Not a visa sticker, but you can be refused boarding without it.
Visa or e-visa — the document has to be issued. Egypt is the application we file today. Other e-visas are listed without a price until the fee is confirmed.
Does not apply — that document is the wrong path for your passport. A Polish or German traveller does not file a B1/B2 visa for a short US trip; they use ESTA. The reverse is true for passports outside the visa-waiver program.
What the list refuses to guess
“To be confirmed” means we will not invent a rule. Exemptions change, and a diplomatic or service passport is not the same as an ordinary one. Write to us before you pay.
